IRONMAN LEEDS – SUNDAY 16TH AUGUST 2026

We are once again, very proud to be hosting The IRONMAN Leeds 2026 takes place on Sunday 16th August. As England’s only full-distance IRONMAN, the event features a 2.4-mile lake swim in Waterloo Lake, a 112-mile bike course through the Yorkshire Dales, and a 26.2-mile marathon run course centred around the park.

As one of the biggest cities in the UK, Leeds is known all over the world for being the hub of triathlon racing. Our city boasts state-of-the-art training facilities including the Brownlee Centre, the UK’s first purpose-built triathlon training centre. We can take pride in knowing that at the end of the 2025 season, Leeds was voted the third best IRONMAN for overall athlete satisfaction by out of all the venues in Europe, Middle east and Africa! Leeds, along with other locations in Yorkshire, also hosted the Tour de France Grand Depart in 2014 so is no newcomer when it comes to big sporting events.

The run course features a party atmosphere with live music and DJs around the West Side of the park and residential Roundhay streets.

To accommodate the route for the cycle, and run, there will inevitably be some traffic restrictions and road closures. Follow the link for details on the route around your area.
