Pitbull (often known as Mr. Worldwide or Mr. 305) is the stage name of Armando Christian Perez, an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born on January 15, 1981, in Miami, Florida, to Cuban parents, he is globally famous for his high-energy party anthems, reggaeton, and pop-rap crossovers.
He started his career in the early 2000s in Miami, eventually rising to international superstardom with massive hits like “Give Me Everything,” “Timber,” and “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)”. He has released a number of studio albums, compilation albums and soundtracks, as well as countless collaborations with some of today’s biggest artists.
Outside of his music, Pitbull is a prominent businessman and philanthropist. He has co-founded the SLAM (Sports Leadership and Management) charter schools to provide sports-based educational opportunities in underserved neighborhoods in a number of cities across North America.
