Help the greening of Leeds by collecting tree seeds

The Parks and Countryside Department and Leeds City Council plan to plant 5.8 million trees in the greater Leeds area over the next 25 years and you can help. The trees will be grown into saplings from seeds planted in the Parks and Countryside Arium nursery, the 200,000 sq ft glasshouse just off the A64, the largest council owned nursery in the country.
The first stage, starting now, is to collect as many seeds as possible and place them in the collection boxes in all Leeds parks. The boxes for Roundhay Park are in Tropical World reception.
All the four seeds illustrated are required. (NOTE only brown acorns are mature enough to germinate)
