Keeping our park beautiful for everyone

Happy Festivities have begun in Roundhay Park!

Sallyanne Corry was asked to come up with a creative plan to involve the community with Winter Rocks theme in the park as part of the festive trail as. this lovely event with FORP
She has created the tree and some painted stones and asks that you all join in and make this work!
Just like the grinch tree, there is a tree to mark the spot where the trail of stones begin. The stones represent the baubles for the tree and we have placed it by the little lake and hope the rocks will reach the little path through woods to the bridge. Follow the stones YOU WILL SEE.
You can paint a pretty pattern, something special to you about this time of year, something festive, something that marks your own faith or a memory stone to dedicate to someone you can’t be with this year.
We hope people and schools locally love getting involved. Let’s see how far and creative our wonderful community could be.
Thanks to John Roebuck Leeds Parks and Countryside Service and Coutryside and to Friends of Roundhay Park helping this be possible and for letting us be part of the Christmas festivities in our community.
