Yorkshire’s Ancient Trees and Woodland

A Talk by Alan Hunton, Woodland Trust

Hear about the work of the Woodland Trust which includes the preservation and restoration of ancient sites and the creation of new woodland. We’ll discuss the value of ancient woodland  to wildlife in general and the fact that certain species can only survive in ancient woods and trees. The talk will be illustrated with examples of specific woods and trees in and around Yorkshire…and of course Roundhay Park
