Duck and Swan Food

We ask you to give a little more.

In October 2017, Friend of Roundhay Park made “Floating Swan and Duck Food” available from a rack in Lakeside Cafe. We did this to improve the water quality of the lake.
It was a great success.
Last year, to make sure that the Swan and Duck project was sustainable we arranged to have the bulk sacks of food put into small bags by the not for profit company Enabled Works. www.enabledworks.co.uk We still just about broke even, but then in October 2018 the bulk price of the food went up by 20%.
So that the project continues to break even we have decided to ask you, the public to put 60p in the Honesty Box for every bag you take. We hope you understand and continue to enjoy feeding the wild fowl on Waterloo Lake
