A Typical working party Planting daffodil bulbs along Carriage drive
Twice every month, usually the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Thursday, a number of FoRP members get together to carry out various tasks in the park, to enhance its appearance, and improve the visitor experience.
Typical tasks include bulb planting, ground preparation and wild flower seed planting, clearing footpaths, cutting back overhanging branches, removing Himalayan Balsam, removing brambles, etc.
Everyone is welcome to join us and help, including well behaved children and well behaved dogs. We provide all necessary tools together with gloves and a Hi Vis vest.
We normally meet at 10am at the Carriage House (behind the Roundhay Fox pub) on Mansion Lane, where the tools are stored.
If you have any questions, want to know what work is planned, or confirm the meeting place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Cowslips/primroses should be ready for planting, all 75 of them.
Darren has a task in the wilderness, deep in the gorge, to unblock a draining pipe at Dog Tooth Spring.
I would like to move a few snowdrps to the area cleared last Saturday ,and, there are still those saplings at the edge of Upper Lake to cut back.
