FoRP Working Party

June 28 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

A Typical working party Planting daffodil bulbs along Carriage drive

Twice every month, usually the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Thursday, a number of FoRP members get together to carry out various tasks in the park, to enhance its appearance, and improve the visitor experience.
Typical tasks include bulb planting, ground preparation and wild flower seed planting, clearing footpaths, cutting back overhanging branches, removing Himalayan Balsam, removing brambles, etc.
Everyone is welcome to join us and help, including well behaved children and well behaved dogs.  We provide all necessary tools together with gloves and a Hi Vis vest.
We normally meet at 10am at the Carriage House (behind the Roundhay Fox pub) on Mansion Lane, where the tools are stored.
If you have any questions, want to know what work is planned, or confirm the meeting place, please email workingparty@forp.org

John Roebuck wants us to cut out dead wood from trees along the tree trail from Princess Avenue to the Mansion. So bring your sawing muscles. It is going to be hot, but the trees might provide a little shade, so hats, water and sunscreen.
