Twice every month, usually the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Thursday, a number of FoRP members get together to carry out various tasks in the park, to enhance its appearance, and improve the visitor experience.
Typical tasks include bulb planting, ground preparation and wild flower seed planting, clearing footpaths, cutting back overhanging branches, removing Himalayan Balsam, removing brambles, etc.
Everyone is welcome to join us and help, including well behaved children and well behaved dogs. We provide all necessary tools together with gloves and a Hi Vis vest.
We normally meet at 10am at the Carriage House (behind the Roundhay Fox pub) on Mansion Lane, where the tools are stored.
If you have any questions, want to know what work is planned, or confirm the meeting place, please email email@example.com
Some heavish work (sawing) to be done in the friends garden and a large patch of nettles dug out at the top of Fox Wood, near the main drive up to the mansion. There will be snowdrops to plant if Tom can get hold of some quickly that come from a supply acceptable to the park.
As Tom And Darren are unavailable this working party will be run by Cecily and John F (plus Mac)
