FoRP Working Party
December 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Twice every month, usually the 2nd Saturday and the 4th Thursday, a number of FoRP members get together to carry out various tasks in the park, to enhance its appearance, and improve the visitor experience.
Typical tasks include bulb planting, ground preparation and wild flower seed planting, clearing footpaths, cutting back overhanging branches, removing Himalayan Balsam, removing brambles, etc.
Everyone is welcome to join us and help, including well behaved children and well behaved dogs. We provide all necessary tools together with gloves and a Hi Vis vest.
We normally meet at 10am at the Carriage House (behind the Roundhay Fox pub) on Mansion Lane, where the tools are stored.
If you have any questions, want to know what work is planned, or confirm the meeting place, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
Believe it or not, the Met Office is forecasting full suns for the whole day, but it will be cold. Perfect weather for some FoRPing. The wild flower garden needs sorting for the winter, Cecily will be there directing traffic. If there are enough of you, the clumps of tree saplings in Fox Wood can be thinned, to allow the strongest growths to thrive. That will mean digging out the weaker ones. That should keep you warm.
